Bringing you a new kind of model of an old kind of railway
Wagons - Contractors on the L&B
The Small Dumb Buffered Wagon found it’s place as a Contractors Wagon; a rake of four or five of these behind a Bury locomotive would be seen on the early railways after larger locomotives had taken over the passenger and goods trains.
Historical note - as one of the earliest railway wagons, the size came from similar road vehicles, and in comparison to modern wagons it is small!
These wagons could be seen around the country on different railways.
We have other early wagons in preparation. These will be 3D printed.
